We’ll sit with you and help you come up with an idea that will tell your unique story in the most compelling way possible. Have you gotten through the first draft of your college essay, but it’s not fitting together and you need some direction? Matthew S. Schwartz has earned national recognition and several professional awards for his writing, including the national Edward R. Murrow Award for best feature reporting, the Associated Press award for outstanding feature reporting, and the American Bar Association Silver Gavel Award for Media and the Arts.
Matt knows what makes a good story, and he can help you tell yours. His work has been published in numerous outlets, including NPR, Bloomberg Law, The Detroit News, Slate.com, and the Richmond Journal of Law and Technology.
Matt holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan.

Need help with your college essay, personal statement, or another piece of writing? Send us an email, or give us a call. Most essays take 3-4 sessions to perfect. The first session is spent going over the essay and figuring out which spots to work on. The remaining sessions are spent editing and polishing drafts. We'll work with you over FaceTime or Skype, while going over your essay together in Google Docs. If you're in the Washington, DC area, in-person essay help is also available. We look forward to helping you!
